Frequently asked questions

What does the tool check?

33 on-page SEO rules across five groups. Content: title tag, meta description, H1, heading outline, word count, image alt text and internal links. Technical: HTTPS, lang, charset, viewport, canonical, robots meta, robots.txt, sitemap, structured data, page weight and response time. Social: Open Graph, Twitter card and favicon. AI and answer engines: llms.txt, AI crawler access, semantic structure, answerable headings, author attribution, content schema type and publication date. Security headers: HSTS, Content Security Policy, clickjacking protection, MIME sniffing and referrer policy — read from the response and weighted lightly, since they are not ranking factors.

How is the score calculated?

Every rule carries a weight reflecting how much it affects SEO. A passing rule earns its full weight, a warning earns half, a failure earns nothing. The total is normalised to 100 and mapped to a letter: A from 90, B from 80, C from 70, D from 50, anything lower is F.

Do I need an account, and is it free?

It is free and needs no account. Paste a URL, press audit, read the report — no trial limit and no payment details.

Why does this score differ from other SEO tools?

Every tool picks its own rules and weights, so scores are not directly comparable. This one reads exactly the HTML your server returns and does not execute JavaScript, so a page that renders its content entirely on the client can score lower than it deserves.

Does it crawl my whole website?

No. Each run analyses the single URL you enter. To cover more pages, audit them one at a time.

Is my data stored?

The URL, score, grade, status code, response time, timestamp and the full report are stored so we can operate and improve the tool. The report includes short extracts from the page such as the title tag, meta description and H1 — the full HTML is not kept. Stored audits are not published anywhere on this site and are not readable by other visitors.
